Call Me To Play. Site created by de astns for the defense of the rights of sex workers in Switzerland

Dear clients,

Sex workers are lucky enough to be able to exercise their activity freely in Switzerland. Swiss law, aware that it is unfair to criminalize the « oldest profession in the world », allows these women and men to earn a living by bringing you pleasure. You and the sex workers here partners. As partners, you should both be concerned about having a good time together. However, you sometimes ask for unprotected sex. How could a woman or a man who accepts unprotected sex with you deny it to others? If a sex worker agrees to have sex with you without a condom, she/he represents a risk for her/his own person as well as for you and your other partners. So please do not ask for sex without protection!

  • Any penetration, whether vaginal or anal, must be protected with a condom to avoid sexually transmitted infections. Find here the rules of safer sex on Lovelife.ch. Find here the means to determine your condom size. Use lubricant to make intercourse more enjoyable and to minimize the impact of the condom on your sensations. You will also minimize the likelihood of a condom breaking.
  • If the condom really prevents you from having an erection, think of Femidom: it is a condom that is applied in the vagina or in the anus of your partner. Also consider the ultra-thin polyurethane condom. Not only is it thinner, just as resistant, but it also causes fewer allergies. It can be obtained in pharmacies.
  • As far as fellatio is concerned, you often ask that it be performed without a condom. If it is proven that HIV is not transmitted by this route without ejaculation, we must not forget the other sexually transmitted infections = STIs. Be aware that each unprotected fellatio exposes you to: syphilis, gonorrhea, chlamydia / mycoplasma / ureaplasma, venereal lymphogranulomatosis, condyloma acuminata and herpes… If you perform fellatio you are also exposing yourself to hepatitis B. All of these STIs can be disabling and/or painful. Life is too short to jeopardize your sexual health and family plans. In women, STIs may cause no symptoms and yet lead to infertility. Others can cause miscarriages or newborn illnesses.
  • The same goes for cunnilingus: it is very exciting to be able to touch or even lick a vulva. Even if the risks of catching HIV are low, the risk of catching one of the sexually transmitted infections presented above is the same as for blowjobs. The genital sphere of sex workers is their work tool, so it must remain healthy and clean. It is therefore preferable that you wash your hands before touching someone’s vulva (you can also put on a latex glove) and that you practice cunnilingus with a dental dam (small square of latex or condom cut lengthwise).
  • No violence with sex workers. They are independent workers. They offer services that they themselves choose to offer, legally. This implies that neither the schedules, nor the services, nor the prices can be imposed. It is up to them to determine their services, their schedules, their prices as well as the words you can use. During the sexual service, therefore, avoid words that could hurt unless it is part of the game as part of the service contract.
  • Any practice is possible if it is the result of an agreement. However, this agreement should only be made if both parties are informed of the medical and legal risks.

About Sexually Transmitted Infections STIs:

  • HIV/AIDS is transmitted during vaginal and anal intercourse as well as during ejaculation in the mouth. Any person carrying HIV and having risky practices can be prosecuted.
  • Hepatitis C is particularly transmissible through the blood. It requires high vigilance during sexual contact during menstruation and during unprotected anal intercourse. It is also transmitted when using non-sterile syringes.
  • Syphilis, hepatitis B, gonococci, trichomonas, chlamydiae, mycoplasmas, ureaplasmas are highly transmissible through sex.
  • Hepatitis B, chlamydia and gonococci can be transmitted through saliva or by splashing semen in the eyes.
  • Syphilis and herpes are highly transmissible through saliva and kissing. The skin lesions (oral or genital or anal chancre) of syphilis are also dangerous by simple contact.
  • Genital warts due to HPV are very infectious and can be transmitted by any penetration, whether vaginal, anal or oral.

An experienced sex worker who cares about your health and well-being could, and should:

  • Suggest showering and cleaning your private parts.
  • Refuse any penetration without a condom.
  • Refuse to give a blowjob without a condom.
  • Provide your own prevention equipment and lubricant, not expired of course.
  • Provide clean sheets and towels.
  • Systematically clean and disinfect sex toys and other utensils.
  • Use gloves for prostate massage.
  • Do not accept that you are under the influence of alcohol or drugs or that you no longer have your capacity for discernment. Being under the influence of substances (alcohol, cocaine, heroin, etc.) can cause both of you to take reckless risks.
  • Be vaccinated against hepatitis B and COVID.
  • Get screened for STIs every 3 months if she/he practices without protection.
  • Refuse that you devalue her/him.
  • Do not greet you when he/she meets you outside of work in order to guarantee your anonymity.

Get tested every 3 months for sexually transmitted infections, including HIV, if you choose, in agreement with sex workers, to still take risks with sex.

If you once take a single risk when in general you protect yourself (breaking a condom, sex under drugs/alcohol), follow the recommendations in the section “What to do in the event of a condom breaking?”. Always protect yourself until then, even within your stable relationship.

Do not hesitate to discuss any risk taking with your partner. The inconvenience due to this admission will be much less than that due to the announcement of an infection of which you would be the cause!
